TRUMP-A-PALOOZA ROLLS INTO DALLAS WITH 100 SPEAKERS, ONE GUITAR SOLO
Midterm convention offers festival vibes, mystery wristbands, and a Porta-Potty map classified until November.
The American Airlines Center transformed into a sea of red hats and commemorative tumblers this week as the GOP's first-ever midterm convention kicked off what organizers are calling 'Trump-a-Palooza,' a two-day event featuring over 100 speakers who all somehow arrived at the same three talking points via wildly different vehicle metaphors. Attendees describe the experience as Coachella for people who consider oat milk a personal affront to the republic, complete with a merch tent reportedly outselling every policy binder combined by a factor last seen in Bruce Springsteen ticket resales.
Swing-district candidates in attendance were issued a special color of wristband that, sources confirmed, only unlocks the exits — never the main stage, and never anywhere near a working camera. Several skipped the festivities entirely, citing 'scheduling conflicts' that industry insiders have translated as 'my internal polling.' Meanwhile, the venue's Porta-Potty layout has reportedly been classified as sensitive information, with one staffer noting, 'We don't want anyone tracing a bathroom line back to enthusiasm levels. That's proprietary.'
RNC logistics director Brent Callahan defended the lineup's variety despite persistent complaints that the 100-plus speeches all functioned as one long guitar solo with different opening chords. 'The lineup is extremely diverse,' Callahan insisted. 'One speaker compared winning to a touchdown; another compared it to a touchdown but with flags. That's range. That's basically Coachella's whole main stage right there.' Organizers say a Night 3 encore is under consideration, pending whether anyone can find enough matching guitars.
