PHILLY PINK POTATO ROBOT ORIFICE JOINS MINISTRY OF AWE AGAINST UBER EATS BOTS
A foam tuber named Orifice rolled into Center City as emotional support for the Autonomous Age. The Ministry of Awe filed paperwork. Delivery robots did not RSVP.
Philadelphia introduced Orifice, a pink potato robot, as the city’s unofficial emotional-support tuber amid a growing fleet of Uber Eats delivery bots. Organizers under the banner Ministry of Awe parked the foam spud where sidewalks already belong to wheeled couriers. Pedestrians stopped. Couriers did not. Orifice held still for photos and, according to handlers, required no tips.
TrustUs.News reviewed the sidewalk choreography and the ministry’s brief. The pitch: if delivery robots get the curb, the public gets a potato with feelings. Coming up on Evening Fabrication: whether awe scales better than oatmeal, and who owns the right-of-way when both parties are on wheels.
“Awebot™ — Philadelphia’s official emotional-support potato for the autonomous-delivery era.”
