Federal investigators say a cyberattack bearing the fingerprints of Iran-linked hacking group CyberAv3ngers hit more than thirty Minnesota municipal water systems this week, locking out employees and, according to internal reports, changing every pump password to 'DeathToAmericaButMakeItTepid.' Officials stress no water was contaminated, though several plants did report finding a sticky note on a control panel reading, simply, 'nice try, lutefisk.'

'No contaminants were introduced, though the water now carries a faint aftertaste of geopolitical grievance,' said Gary Faucet, spokesman for the newly formed Minnesota Hydration Readiness Board, adding that the real damage was several IT technicians locked out of their own login screens for four business hours, which he described as 'basically Pearl Harbor if Pearl Harbor was mildly inconvenient.' Faucet confirmed water pressure remains 'defiantly average.'

Anchorman Ron Rugundy called it 'the opening salvo of a hot-dish-based World War III,' solemnly informing viewers that 'the enemy no longer needs missiles, just a bad Wi-Fi password and a grudge.' He assured Minnesotans the state's water is now 'somehow more patriotic,' though he could not explain how, and closed the broadcast reminding the region that real toughness means showering angry. 'I'm not going to sugarcoat this,' Ron added. 'I don't know how. The sugar's probably compromised too.'
